Everyman Barbers Raise The Bar In Toast To 10 Years Of Success.
This year marks Everyman Barbers’ 10th anniversary on the British high-street and boy they’ve gone all out to mark the occasion. Their 10-year-old Birmingham store has been through a complete gut-and-start-over refurbishment and they’re opening new stores in Derby and Leicester, right in the heart of each city.
“After 10 successful years in Birmingham we thought it was time for a serious upgrade,” says managing director Noel Gilronan. “We want to stay at top of our industry…we do say that we’re ‘an authentic cut above’ and we want to make sure that’s the case as we expand throughout the UK”
Chunky wooden mirrors offset the racing green two tone leather barbers’ chairs that have been stylishly emblazoned with the trademark E logo. The Birmingham store feels much more spacious after the refit and Gilronan confirms that it’s a theme that will follow through in all future stores, including Derby and Leicester. However, the refit and expansion isn’t all the team have been keeping busy with. They’ve recently launched a new bespoke app that acts as a loyalty card and has other key features such as the popular Everycam cameras, which customers use to check for waiting times before visiting or to see if their favourite barber is working.
“People forget physical loyalty cards but they never forget their phones these days, we want be a 21st Century business…we’ve also had USB sockets installed on the sections so customers can charge their phones while they have their hair cut,” Gilronan says.
With every 6th stamp you collect you can get 50% off a haircut and £5 off a professional hair or beard product. The beer is still free, the live sports still rolling, but everything else has certainly moved up a notch or two. But can they keep their prices affordable after the clearly not-so-cheap refit? “Of course we can, we want to be accessible to everyone,” Gilronan adds.
