Solihull's Semilac wins Gold at Pure Beauty Awards

UV hybrid nail polish brand Semilac is celebrating that one of its new product ranges has won a national beauty award.

Semilac SemiFlash, a unique colour-changing powder which enhances manicured nails with a mirrored chrome finish, won Pure Beauty’s Best New Hands and Nail Product. SemiFlash was one of 20 entries shortlisted in this highly competitive category.

The fantastic result was announced at the Pure Beauty Awards at The Savoy Hotel in London, after magazine readers voted for their favourite products. Like all Semilac ranges, SemiFlash creates beautifully strong nails which last up to three weeks without chipping.

Semilac UK CEO Monika Shine commented: “This is the first national beauty award we have entered as Semilac is quite new to the UK, so to say we are absolutely thrilled to have won is an understatement! We have always believed in the quality and strength of our product so it is incredible to have this affirmed on the national stage. This award is extra special as it was voted for by the public, and we would like to thank everyone who supported Semilac.”

Pure Beauty’s Editor, Laura Husband, added: “Huge congratulations go to Semilac Semiflash for winning this year’s Best New Hands and Nail Product. This category is always extremely competitive so it’s a true testament to the brand that this innovation has stood out from the crowd.”

SemiFlash has unrivalled chameleon and metallic qualities as well as a vast range of vibrant colours, plus mirror and holo effects. It’s very easy to apply and though competitively priced at £9.99, salons which officially register to stock Semilac enjoy a 12% trade discount. There are now more than 200 salons across the UK signed up to use Semilac’s 230 colours.

SemiFlash is one of many ranges used at the Semilac UK Academy, which launched in September. The ABT and Beauty Guild accredited training sessions start at just £60 and include Classic Hybrid Manicure, Art, Hard Gel and Hardi Extend. The courses take place at the Semilac UK Academy in Stockport, and at the Semilac UK salon headquarters on the Warwick Road in Solihull.
