Birmingham gears up for Pride weekend

It’s one of the biggest weekends of the year for Birmingham, and Bullring & Grand Central are starting their Pride celebrations early with a host of Pride-inspired celebrations on Friday 24th May.

The iconic Bull’s outfit will be unveiled on Friday morning and it will be every bit as flamboyant and bold as you can imagine. Selfie-enthusiasts will be able to stop by the Bull to grab a picture all weekend.

One of the UK’s biggest media platforms, Gaydio Radio, will be bringing the team to Birmingham to host their breakfast show live from Bullring & Grand Central.

At 12.30pm and 2pm, shoppers will be invited to wonder into the wonderful world of Fantabulosa. The drag show for kids includes singing, dancing and interactive storytelling that celebrates self-expression.

Danielle Bozward, Marketing Manager at Bullring & Grand Central, commented: “We’re so excited for Birmingham Pride and being such a big part of the city we love to get involved. As well as our celebrations on Friday lots of our shops will be getting involved across the weekend by hosting in-store activity and offering Pride-themed products.”

During the weekend Topshop will have DJs, drag queens and a specially commissioned throne perfect for selfies in-store as well as a Gypsy Shrine pop-up offering face gem make-overs and a glitter station. Shops including Topshop, Dr Martens and Tiger will all have special Pride collections and products available in their stores.
