Social Darts Experience, Flight Club To Launch In Birmingham This Week
Flight Club, the world’s first ‘Social Darts’ venue, has officially announced it is to open in Birmingham this summer. Reinventing darts for the 21st century, the ‘Social Darts’ experience will launch in the heart of the city on Temple Street.
The venue’s supercharged version of the traditional game involves multiple players (each oche will allow 12 people to play at once with tournament tech that can connect up to 150 players at once), patented dart tracking technology (designed specifically by Flight Club’s own astrophysicist), instant scoring, reimagining matches into face-paced, exciting social experiences.
Flight Club Birmingham, will be the second outside of London after Manchester, including Flight Club’s feature bar and 13 oches (the darts playing area), each with its own seating area and table service. For bigger parties, there are bookable spaces for groups of 30-170 or you can just hire the whole venue!
CEO, Steve Moore, who co-founded Flight Club alongside Paul Barham, said: “Birmingham is buzzing! The appetite for new and exciting venues makes it the perfect place to introduce our modern invention of darts. We’ve been working with the people of Birmingham to spread that same unexpected, ridiculous joy our customers experience in London but, crucially, with that Birmingham flare. We’re looking forward to finally opening the doors and showing you what Social Darts is all about”
Since launching in 2015, Flight Club has become a key player in the experiential nightlife scene, credited with taking the best bits of the sport and turning it into a social experience and night out with friends or colleagues.
Already situated in London, Manchester and Chicago, over a million players have, to date, thrown just under 90 million darts in Flight Club venues across the world.
Combining the heritage of darts – the pub and the fairground – in its décor, Flight Club’s bar will serve a selection of craft beers and cocktails, alongside a seasonally inspired menu including light sharing plates, show-stopping pizza paddles, and no trip is complete without a signature slushie.
Oches at Flight Club’s existing venues are regularly reserved for up to three months in advance, and bookings are now open for Birmingham priced £30 / hour on-peak and £15 / hour off-peak.
