Grease is The Word at The New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham

We review Grease at New Alexandra Theatre

Last Night we were cordially invited to see the new production of Grease at The New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham. Here is what Laura Davis though:

Wow what can I say Stage Experience were amazing. I know the film doesn’t teach the young kids of today but the Stage Experience showed of the class of Grease.

You can tell that the young cast has rehearsed over and over again the timing was incredible.

From the opening with Jordan Ricketts – Danny (who I have to say was not bad himself) and Georgia Anderson – Sandy got you in to set straight away.

Pollyann Tanner – Director and Choreographer  did an amazing job making sure all the young Performers got a opportunity to shine too.

From Design of the stage to Lighting – every little detail had been thought of this really helped with the smooth scene changes.

Right back to the show – all 121 performers have worked their socks off, a lot of high energy to keep you engaged throughout the whole show.

This show will get  you laughing, singing and clapping along – Sofi Robinson who played Rizzo and Georgina Steggles who played Frenchy will get you laughing as they really get in to character and they really bring the humour and facial expressions.

Pollyann (Director and Choreographer)and Josh (Assistant Choreographer) have worked so hard to get the group dancing spot on, the high energy singing and dancing really shows off how tight they are as a group.

Jordan and Georgia ( Danny and Sandy) worked really well together and had amazing voices they can high so many high notes.

Grease will be running at The New Alexandra theatre in Birmingham tonight (19th August) and Tomorrow at 2:30 and 19:30. For tickets visit
