London Fried Chicken Shop Meets Moseley Michelin Star Dining
Chick ‘n’ Sours, the London restaurant known for its next level fried chicken and sour cocktails, is heading North to Moseley in Birmingham on Sunday 28th July to bring the vibes to Michelin starred Carters of Moseley. They will be throwing the doors open, cranking up the tunes & generally causing a stir!
This weird and wonderful combination of fried chicken meets Michelin Star dining was dreamt up by founders Carl Clarke (Chick ‘n’ Sours) and Brad Carter (Carters of Moseley) – two proud born & bred Brummies, who may have created two very different concepts, but share the same passion and commitment for the restaurants they pour their heart and souls into day after day.
Brad Carter, owner of Carters of Moseley, gushed “I’m so excited to have my Brum Brother Carl Clarke up at Carters…we’ve become great friends and we are delighted to collaborate on this special day to give our Brum family a taste of the best chicken on planet earth! (I can say that because I have been to Chick ‘n’ Sours)”
Carl and Brad have worked hard (and may have had a bit of fun in the process…) to curate the perfect menu for this very special evening. The menu is as follows:
CHICKNCLUB#3: Gin, Creme de Mure, raspberry shrub, blackcurrant leaf
Pat & Glyn’s ‘Eaten Alive’ pickles
Chengdu chicken bomb, raspberry hoisin
Pickled watermelon salad, peanuts, red nahm jim
The Middle – to share, family style
Foie gras fried chicken, Brummie gunpowder, curry leaf shizzle – with…
Bang bang cucumbers
Laksa curry peas
Hot dog & kimchi fried rice
Brad & Carl’s banana miso cream pie
Hot & numbing frozen milk
Carl Clarke, co-founder of Chick ‘n’ Sours, commented: “The food & beverage scene in Birmingham now rivals anywhere in the UK and it makes me proud to be a Brummie. I may have set up shop in London, but I have been wanting to do something back home for some time now, and I couldn’t think of anyone I’d rather partner with than Brad Carter. I can’t wait for us to shake up Moseley with the Chick ‘n’ Sours vibes!”.
