Revolución de Cuba brings the heat of Havana to Birmingham
Catch some Latin fever, Birmingham — Revolución de Cuba has arrived!
The vibrant rum bar and cantina brings the sizzling Cuban heat to the heart of the city with its new venue on Temple Street.

Based in the grand former Birmingham Law Library, step inside Revolución de Cuba and find a unique, colourful and vibrant rùstico hotspot set across two floors with spinning ceiling fans, rich velvet curtains, chandeliers and antique-style furniture.
Get the party started with what promise to be the best rum cocktails in town. Cocktail connoisseurs will delight in the ‘Cantinero’s Choice’ of super premium offerings, including exclusive serves made with new aged rum, Bacardi Cuatro, such as the Pineapple Passion Spritz (pineapple liqueur, Freixenet prosecco, passion fruit and soda). A variety of tropical island themed tipples, such as the Mariposa (Koko Kanu rum, Chambord, passion fruit, pineapple, cranberry, lemon) and Creole Orange (Bayou Spiced Rum, blood orange, lime, mint) also feature.
A delicious range of zero-proof creations capture the spirit of adventure without the alcohol; relish the sweet and delicate Lavender and Apple Smash (apple, mint, lemon, cranberry lavender) or the Seedlip G&T – an aromatic alternative to gin that doesn’t compromise on taste.
The kitchen pays homage to the best of Cuban, Caribbean and South American food, all cooked to order in Revolución de Cuba’s cantina. Innovative dishes deliver exotic twists such as the savoury Dirty Churros which come dusted in spiced sugar and topped with manchego cheese sauce and pickled onions; and the Quesadilla Burger; filled with mozzarella, hot chilli cheese, spinach and serrano ham.
Small dishes on the restaurant’s tapas menu provide big flavours, such as the Seafood Cataplana (garlic, white wine, spicy tomato sauce) and Jerk Fried Chicken, bursting with Cajun spice and served with a rum-infused mayo. Main plates include the Empanada Grande (a giant pastry parcel filled with Caribbean chicken, pineapple, spinach and cheese) and the delicious Pork & Clams Stew (chorizo sausage, clams, potato, spicy tomato sauce with white wine, garlic, onions, pork belly topping), amongst others.
