Get Your Rum On At The Birmingham Rum Festival
The Birmingham Rum Festival is back this summer doing what it does best, offering you and your friends a great opportunity to discover new rums, as well as meeting the people and stories behind each brand and bottle.
This year the festival is again being held at the newly refirbished Birmingham rum destination The Cuban Embassy in Moseley. Stocked with over 130 rums, the Embassy will host festival-goers in their two indoor rum bars, open air courtyard and outdoor terrace taking place on the 29th & 30th of June.
Here’s just a sneak peak of just some of the rum brands you can expect …
New to the festival, whether you love smoked or spiced rum, Burning Barn Rum makes both it’s specialty. Rum with real spice and a dash of smoke that’s handcrafted without compromise.⠀
New kid on the block is 24 Royale Caribbean rum which promises a taste of luxury in every glass! This ultra premium rum is a signature blend that delivers a balanced taste with a delicately rounded finish.
Pineapple and rum is a match made in Tiki heaven, and so we are really looking forward to trying the Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum this summer. Created by the folks behind The Bitter Truth bitters range, Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum takes its inspiration from way back when Caribbean distillers would macerate pineapples in sugar cane spirit, imparting a fruity dimension to their rum.
A curious blend of rum from Guyana and Trinidad, where they use locally produced caramel, gives this deep rum its distinctive flavour. Blended further with cloves and a mysterious concoction of natural spices, makes Cloven Hoof rum an intriguing and unique brand at the festival this year.
Come and enjoy them all, with a chance to meet the experts and distillers face to face as you sip on their creations.Discover a new menu of Signature Cocktails, munch on exotic street food and party to live Latin, Reggaeton, Salsa and Reggae music.
