Selfridges Birmingham Introduces Exclusive £23 Gold-Infused Cookie

People with a sweet tooth are being invited to indulge in the ultimate treat as Selfridges Birmingham unveils an exclusive deluxe cookie with a decadent gold twist.

The new 23-carat gold cookie from Monkey Cookies costs £23 and is the latest flavour to be stocked exclusively in the leading department store. Hand-made and decorated, the 23-carat gold cookie comprises a mouth-watering chocolate-chip cookie and is topped with Hershey’s chocolate that is draped in a gold sheet and sprinkled with gold flakes.

The delectable bites can be bought individually or be included as part of a 15-cookie tin selection.

Monkey Cookies is a new range for Selfridges Birmingham, being introduced to the renowned Food Hall earlier this year. The core range of cookies have been flying off the shelves as customers snap up the treats filled with Kinder chocolate, Nutella, Cookies n Creme, Hershey pieces and soft marshmallow.

The director of Monkey Cookies, said: “We’re very excited to be introducing our luxury gold-infused cookie exclusively in Selfridges Birmingham & London. Since we began stocking our cookies, we’ve already built up a loyal following and are looking forward to seeing people enjoying a bite of happiness with our latest innovation.”

Selfridges Birmingham General Manager Sam Watts said: “Our discerning customers love unexpected products and innovative ranges so we are thrilled to be the only stockist of the 23-carat gold cookie. It’s a real treat for any cookie lover.”

Monkey Cookies started in 2012, when Abdullah Al Ansari began baking in his kitchen in Kuwait. In just five years, the operation has grown and is now sold in more than 60 locations all over the Gulf and in Selfridges Birmingham and London.
