THE CUSTARD FACTORY LAUNCHES PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITON ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The Custard Factory has launched its first ‘Depict Digbeth’ photography competition. The initiative, which invites participants to capture their version of Winter in Digbeth, will run until 4th of January 2019.
The winning photograph will be displayed as the lead image at the Depict Digbeth Photography exhibition, which will run in The Custard Factory’s reception. Additionally, the winner will receive cash prize of £100 and a printed canvas frame of their photograph.
The top 50 entries will be selected by a panel of expert judges and uploaded to Facebook, where the public will be able to cast their vote by ‘liking’ their favourite images. The photograph with the most ‘likes’ will be crowned the overall winner. Ten runners up will have their images featured alongside the winning image in the Depict Digbeth exhibition.
Sara Bremner, Marketing and Events Manager at The Custard Factory, said, “Digbeth is one of the most distinctive parts of the UK, recently topping the Sunday Times’ list of ‘Coolest places to live in the UK’. The area is a hub of culture and creative enterprise with galleries, nightclubs, pubs and restaurants all set against a backdrop of Victorian viaducts and breath-taking street art.
We’re calling on local photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, to show us the area through their lens, and we can’t wait to see the results.”
