The Patrick Studio @ Birmingham Hippodrome
You most likely have sat in Birmingham Hippodrome’s impressive 1,800+ seat auditorium many times, but perhaps you haven’t had the pleasure of
enjoying world-class theatre in their intimate 200 seat Patrick Studio.
The space has a growing reputation for presenting excellent new up-close performance featuring a mix of new work from Birmingham Hippodrome
Associate Artists amongst touring shows from the trailblazers in new comedy, dance and drama. Bravo 22 Company is an awardwinning
recovery through the arts programme which works with veterans and their families.
In their latest new work (13- 15 Jun) by writer Kevin Fegan, inspiration is
taken from the real stories of contemporary veterans and their loved ones.
Hippodrome Associate Artist and Birmingham resident, Rosie Kay is now well-known both nationally and internationally for her bold and exciting
choreography. Last year, Rosie was responsible for choreographing the
Handover Ceremony for the Commonwealth Games; now she returns to the Patrick Studio with Fantasia (25 & 26 Sep). This brand-new
work mixes dance and science to explore what it is that makes dance so beautiful to watch and experience.
