Top Ten Things to do In Birmingham over February Half Term

February half term is fast approaching and we sense you need a little help looking for activities to keep your little ones occupied. We have found a range of fun events from holiday camps to farmyard playgrounds that are sure to keep your children and even you entertained! So crack open your diaries and get ready to jot down these fun-filled activities to give your children a half term to remember.

Half term family entertainment @ Cadbury World (Saturday 18th Feb to Sunday 26th Feb)

 

Cadbury World are putting on entertainment for all the family this February half term with live shows from magicians, ventriloquists and much more! You and your children will learn about the history behind Cadbury chocolate, how it’s made and even jump on the popular Cadabra ride which takes you through a chocolate wonderland full of familiar characters as you and your family discover the magic behind one of the nation’s favourite chocolates. Explorers Half Term @ West Midlands Safari Park (Saturday 11th Feb to Sunday 26th Feb)

 

West Midlands Safari Park will open again on Saturday 11th February as well as the Adventure Theme Park. You and your children can come together to help onsite explorer “Livingstone” find the mysterious missing egg on the explorers trial. Explorers will collect stamps in their log book as they go along the Discovery Trail, Adventure Theme Park and African Village. Once your little explorers find the missing egg you can upload a picture of them with it to Facebook for a chance to win an iPad mini. Once your log book is complete find one of the West Midlands Safari Park workers and claim your prize. There will also be an explorers craft club where explorers can get creative.

Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler’s The Snail and The Whale @ SEA LIFE centre (Saturday 11th Feb to Sunday 26th Feb)

 

Experience this beloved childhood book come to life as your children follow the story of “The Snail and The Whale” around the Sea Life Centre. Your children will experience the amazing underwater world. Children will also be given the opportunity to decorate their very own “Snail Rock” with a “Save The Whale” message on. Whodunnit? @ Aston Hall (Friday 24th Feb)

 

You and your children can enjoy a drop dead fun murder mystery trail at Aston Hall. King Charles I pays an unexpected visit to Aston Hall, bringing along strangers and visitors. All seems well until one of them is found dead! Get your thinking caps on and solve the mystery. Interview suspects and explore the grounds on this fun filled trail. February Half Term Fun @ Birmingham Botanical Gardens (Monday 20th Feb to Friday 24th Feb)

 

Enjoy the great outdoors this February half term with your children at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. There will be plenty of half term activities taking place including arts and crafts for those who want to get creative, bug hunting and story trails that are sure to keep your children entertained for hours.  Activities will run each day from 11am to 3pm. Junior Ski Camp @ Ackers Adventure (Monday  20th Feb, Wednesday 22nd Feb  and Friday 24th Feb)

 

Going on a skiing holiday later in the year? Or does your child just love to ski? Then Ackers Adventure Junior Ski Camp is the place to be this February half term. Your children will be offered the opportunity to learn how to ski at a beginners level by a skilled and fully qualified instructor. The Ski Camp will run three days in the week starting at 10am and ending at 4pm. The camp costs £45 per child, per day and this includes all the equipment and the instruction. This is a brilliant opportunity for your children to learn a new sport and make friends along the way. Animal Mania @ Blakesley Hall (Tuesday 21st Feb & Thursday 24th Feb)

 

Animal mania will come to Blakesley Hall this half term for a few days of jam packed animal fun. Two of the days will have half term craft activities for your children to enjoy with animal pom pom making on the Tuesday and animal face masks on the Wednesday. The activities will close on the Thursday with a special event where you and your children can meet lizards, snakes, chinchillas, hedgehogs, giant bunnies, tortoises and creepy crawlies! Family Fun Days @ Baddesley Clinton (Saturday 18th Feb to Sunday 26th Feb)

 

Gather up the troops for a day in the great outdoors. Baddesley Clinton has a natural play trail with stepping stones, rope swings and a winding labyrinth that is sure to keep your children entertained for hours. Grab your rain coats and welly boots and take a walk across the Warwickshire countryside on the estate walk and discover the new bird screen in the woods. The best thing about it is the trail is completely free just normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Jungle Book @ MAC Birmingham (Tuesday 21st Feb & Wednesday 22nd Feb)

 

Enjoy a Disney classic at MAC Birmingham with a screening of Jungle Book. Watch the epic adventure of Mowgli , a man-cub who has been raised by wolves. He sets of on an adventure as he realises he is no longer welcome in the jungle. Alongside free-spirited bear Baloo, their fun filled, action packed adventure is sure to provide giggles, excitement and keep your children captivated throughout. Don’t forget to grab some popcorn!

Cinderella @ Birmingham Hippodrome (Wednesday 15th Feb to Saturday 25th Feb)

 

Bring you princes and princesses along to the Birmingham Hippodrome for this magical ballet production of Cinderella. The show is packed full of breath-taking dance, extraordinary scenery and a lively cast that includes mice, lizards and even a dancing frog to make your children’s imaginations run wild.
