Winter Wonders at Birmingham Hippodrome!

Winter Wonders at Birmingham Hippodrome!

Whether you’re a fan of stand-up comedy, a die-hard dance fan, in the market for a West End musical or open to something completely different, there’s no shortage of unforgettable live performances at Birmingham Hippodrome this Autumn!

Matilda

The Best of the West End!

Looking ahead to Spring 2018, there are so many standout productions to choose from, including the West End and Broadway blockbuster Matilda The Musical, international smash-hit Warhorse and the return of spellbinding musical Wicked. Plus, look out for visits from Tim Firth’s critically-acclaimed new musical, The Band, featuring the hits of Take That and a repeat visit from worldwide rhythm and dance spectacular, Stomp in 2018.

Try Something new!

There’s more to life at Birmingham Hippodrome than what happens on our Main Stage! Our 300-seat Patrick Centre studio is the perfect venue to experience the thrill of live performance from a whole new perspective this Autumn. Shining a spotlight on issues of displacement, refuge, instability, Aakash Odedra’s ground-breaking new dance work, #JeSuis, brings the stories of ten Turkish dancers to life through a combination of dynamic physicality and contemporary dance. Bringing together high-energy acrobatics, digital projections and mind-bending movement, Motionhouse’s Charge explores the incredible story of electrical charge, bringing to life stories of energy in our own bodies, humans as energy manipulators and the Earth’s weather systems.

Dara O’Brian

Comedy Picks!

Back by popular demand in Spring 2018, Dara O Briain brings his brand new show, Voice of Reason, to Birmingham Hippodrome from 2-3 March whilst star of Live at the Apollo and 8 out of 10 Cats Jon Richardson brings his smash-hit stand-up show Old Man to the Main Stage for one night only on Sat 10 Mar.

For an added dose of theatrical silliness, Mischief Theatre company make their return to Birmingham Hippodrome following a sell-out run with the ‘gut-bustingly funny’, The Play That Goes Wrong – the hilarious comedy of murder-mystery gone awry that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!
