1,000 FREE Comedy Tickets Up For Grabs in Nottingham
Launching on Thursday 2 August 2018, the much anticipated event sees award-winning comedy venue The Glee Club in Nottingham give away 1,000 tickets – for free!
Tickets will be stashed at secret locations, awaiting discovery.
Once claimed, tickets allow free entry to any Friday or Saturday Night Comedy show at The Glee until Saturday 1 September 2018, where lucky recipients can enjoy appearances by such famed acts as TV’s Junior Simpson (10-11 Aug); Abi Roberts, recently named as one of the Hardest Working Comedians on the UK circuit by Ents24 (17-18 Aug); Russell Kane (Radio 2) and Matt Forde (talkSport) guest Paul McCaffrey (24-25 Aug); and Edinburgh native and actress (Two Door’s Down, Outlander) Rachel Jackson with Canadian Dana Alexander (31 Aug-1 Sep).
The exact locations of the free tickets will be revealed at precisely noon on Thursday 2 August 2018 via The Glee’s social media channels, using the hashtag #BigGleeGiveaway.
However, The Glee’s newsletter subscribers will receive the details at 9am, giving them a three hour head start!
“This is the third year in a row that we’ve run the #BigGleeGiveaway,” says The Glee Club’s founder, Mark Tughan. “It’s a great way for people to check out some amazing established and emerging acts absolutely free; or, if they’ve only ever seen stand-up on television, to really experience the thrill of a live show, with no risk.
“And as we’ll be hiding tickets across the city – in cafes, bars, attractions – it’s also a great excuse for us to work with some outstanding local businesses, and highlight their services and products too.”
Since its 2010 arrival in Nottingham, the Castle Wharf-based venue has hosted performances by such acts as Lee Evans, Mark Watson, Andy Parsons, Joe Lycett and Jack Dee, quickly establishing itself as one of the region’s best comedy venues.
