Festé Performer Brings Inventive Circus to Derby

Festé Performer Brings Inventive Circus to Derby

You’re handed a remote control.  What happens next is all down to you…

Following the Circus Geek’s popularity at the Cathedral Green at Festé, Derby’s annual outdoor arts festival, performer Matt Pang returns to Derby with a hilarious, creative circus performance with company PanGottic.

Long Shot is a stripped-back circus performance where the audience is in charge. Using handcrafted remote control contraptions, tight choreography and laugh out loud humour, PanGottic bring to life one man’s belief in the near impossible, the almost unachievable and the highly unlikely. The show pushes the boundaries of how much risk an audience can bear, or be willing to create, by placing the routine and repetition of a highly skilled juggler in the same room as extreme unpredictability.

Commissioned by Déda, the piece is supported by Arts Council England, The Pound, Circus City and Circomedia.

Stephen Munn, CEO and Artistic Director of Déda, said “The first time I saw a PanGottic show was at an outdoor festival where the performer Matt Pang was surrounded by a large audience of children and adults totally captivated by his mad contraptions – like a gigantic physics experiment which might go wrong at any time!

For me, the company is unique in that they combine traditional circus skills with science / engineering resulting in a hilarious and mesmerising production which everyone can engage with.  The Project V performances were a real highlight at Derby Festé 2017 and I am delighted to be welcoming PanGottic to Déda with their brand new show Long Shot which promises to be a hilarious journey into the mind of a truly remarkable performer.”

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience an exhilarating and imaginative show that will exceed all expectations.

Audiences can catch Long Shot presented by PanGottic on Saturday 18 November, 7.00pm, at Déda. Tickets are £12 (£10 concession) and can be purchased at www.deda.uk.com or via the Box Office on 01332 370911.
