Interlude In Prague screenwriter introduction and screenings at QUAD, Derby in June.
Interlude In Prague, a film by Derbyshire Screenwriter resident Brian Ashby, will have a special guest introduction in QUAD, Derby in June.
A love story and a tragedy of epic proportions, Interlude In Prague follows Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a Shakespeare In Love style drama with a dose of Dangerous Liaisons thrown in for good measure. Interlude In Prague will be introduced in QUAD by screenwriter, producer and Derbyshire resident Brian Ashby on Friday 2nd June at 6:10pm. The film can be seen at QUAD until Thursday 8th June.
The story follows a brief interlude in the composer’s life during a visit to Prague. Tired of demonstrating his talents to a privileged elite, Mozart is brought to the Bohemian city by Baron Saloka, a vain and self-obsessed aristocrat. On his arrival, Mozart is happy to have found the one place on earth where he feels his talent is appreciated and sets about creating a new opera at the Nostitz Theatre. However, Mozart’s unconventional behaviour in Prague soon unleashes a series of dramatic and tragic events that go on to become immortalised in one of the world’s most famous operas, Don Giovanni.
