Nottingham Youth Have Found a Creative Way to Explore Mental Health
Over the years, talking about Mental Health has become less of a taboo, yet it’s still a hard subject to discuss. This is why young people from Nottingham took a more creative approach to explore the subject in a inspirational music project called Circle of Light.
This project has brought together 20 music industry professionals led by renowned rapper Scorz-zay-zee to mentor young people. These workshops have been a space of creative collaboration between singers, rappers, musicians and producers.
Circle of Light, funded by Youth Music and the National Lottery Community Fund, was a success within the youth and led to a creative outpouring for an album, produced in 3 weeks which will be released on the 10th October 2019, World Mental Health Day.
They will conclude the project with a live performance where they will be joined by The Nottingham Youth Orchestra.
