Introducing 1901 – Turkey Café
This Grade II listed building is worth a visit to admire its stunning architecture alone. Designed by local architect Arthur Wakerley in 1901 with inspiration from Turkish design,
Four split floors give life to four very different characters ranging from the upbeat basement bar to the intimate lounge on the middle floor. There’s even an outside area to enjoy. One thing all four floors share however is a selection of niche sprits and unique cocktails that include lots of fresh fruit, smoked infusions and other wonderful concoctions- a mixologist’s dream! The Turkey Café is also one of the few places in Leicester to serve a homemade afternoon tea. You can even swap the tea for a cheeky cocktail, beer or why not enjoy a glass of processco?
