Ex-NTU student appointed as official milliner for Newmarket Racecourses’ July Festival
Exceptional hat designer, Rosie Olivia has been announced as the official milliner for Newmarket Racecourses’ Moët & Chandon July Festival, taking place from the 13th to the 15th July 2017 at the Adnams July Course.
Rosie Olivia will be on course on Ladies Day and Darley July Cup Day of the Moët & Chandon July Festival as a guest judge of The Style Awards sponsored by The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel, helping the official judging panel to choose the Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Couple, as well as displaying her hats.
Top milliner, Rosie Olivia graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Decorative Arts from Nottingham Trent University in 2010 and went on to study millinery at Central St Martins in London. During this period she completed internships with world-renowned hat design icons Philip Treacy, Victoria Grant and Stephen Jones, and upon graduating started her own millinery business.
Rosie Olivia uses luxury materials; various colour integrations and her signature lace trim to create unique and luxurious wearable statement pieces for daywear and formal occasions. All her creations are handmade and Rosie Olivia is passionate about British millinery; based in London, she offers a ready-to-wear range as well as a bespoke service.
As well as being on the judging panel, Rosie Olivia will be presenting one voucher worth £500 to the Best Dressed Lady from Ladies Day on Thursday 13th July, and another voucher also worth £500 to the winning lady in the Best Dressed Couple on Darley July Cup Day on Saturday 15th July. These vouchers can be utilised for a bespoke hat created wholly for the winning ladies.
Rosie Olivia’s hats can also be seen being modelled by some of the Newmarket Racecourses team, as well as by jockey and commentator Hayley Moore throughout the Festival. Racegoers will have the opportunity to treat themselves to a gorgeous creation by Rosie Olivia at her hat display located by The Style Awards Marquee in the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure on Thursday and Saturday.
