More Bands Announced For Simon Says… 2016

35 more bands for Simon Says… 2016 have been announced including Levellers-influenced modern folk band Ferocious Dog, Uptown Ska Collective, formed by The Specials’ bassist Horace Panter with handpicked Leicester locals bringing vintage ska tunes and sexy rock-steady rhythms; and Diesel Park West who will be featuring their seminal 1989 album, Shakespeare Alabama, whihc is listed in the greatest debut albums of all time.

The festival held at De Montfort Hall Gardens and organised by De Montfort Hall, The Donkey, Firebug and The Musician, will run on on 23 and 24 July and tickets are on sale now. Weekend tickets at special advance purchase prices, cost £30 for adults, £20 for students, £10 for under 16s and £7.50 for under 10s. Under-5s get in free but still need to book a ticket.

Other highlights include Simon Says… first-timers Dayflower who promise to pour honey-drenched pop melodies over a collage of fuzzed-up synths, lo-fi beats, and jangly guitars, and Leicester performance poet Jess Green playing with her band The Mischief Thieves.
