CARLUCCIOS’ ADD AN ITALIAN TWIST TO NEW VEGAN CROISSANTS
Who doesn’t love a flaky pastry with their morning coffee? I know I do and there is for many Vegans, saying goodbye to these buttery treats is far from easy which is why Carluccio’s are introducing the new Croissant Vegano and Saccottini al Cioccolato, available nationwide now.
This classic pastry has become vegan friendly without sacrificing flavour with the same cloud-like consistency and flaky, buttery taste despite being completely plant-based and made alternatives free from eggs, butter and milk.
Saccottini al Cioccolato is the Italian relative of the Pain au chocolat and comes filled with a deliciously rich and creamy hazelnut dark cocoa cream from Italian chocolatier Caffarel, with a sprinkling of edible gold sugar on top. The Croissant Vegano is made from a traditional Italian fresh sourdough recipe giving it a tasty and airy lightness, with a sprinkling of cane sugar on top.
These new plant-based croissants are a welcome addition to Carluccio’s menu that already features a selection of new vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes to cater for all dietary requirements. The menu also contains new milk alternatives – including soy, coconut and oat milk – providing you with the perfect non-dairy accompaniment to your vegan morning treat.
In celebration of the new Vegan breakfast treats, stop by your local Carluccio’s until the 21st August and enjoy a Croissant Vegano for just £1.
