Call goes out to festive stallholders

TRADERS interested in taking a stall at Leicester’s first Festive Fair are invited to submit their applications now to secure their pitch.

The fair will be held in Leicester’s new Market Square as part of the city’s packed programme of entertainment for Christmas – and organisers hope that the Festive Fair will be one of the city’s seasonal highlights.

“We want to fill the Market Square with stalls offering everything from Christmas gift ideas and homemade crafts, to mulled wine and hot potatoes,” said markets manager Paul Edwards.

“The brand new square is a great location for our Festive Fair and we’ll be creating the perfect Christmas atmosphere for traders and shoppers with individual wooden chalets and plenty of fairy lights.”

Carey York from Fraser Urquhart  Media agrees;

“We are excited to be organizing Leicester’s first Festive Fair and to work in partnership with Leicester City Council. We are looking forward to welcoming traders that have worked with us previously and to meet new ones for this opportunity.

“Demand for pitches is expected to be high, so we’re inviting traders who are keen to be part of our first ever Festive Fair to get in touch with us as soon as possible to find out how to secure their pitch.”

Leicester’s Festive Fair runs from Thursday 23 November until Saturday 23 December – a total of 31 trading days.

Trading times will be from 11am until 7pm from Monday to Wednesday; 11am until 8pm from Thursday to Saturday; and from 11am until 5pm on Sundays.

Traders interesting in taking a stall for the 31-day tenure are invited to contact Carey York at Fraser Urquhart Media at [email protected]
