Carling And Everards Join Forces For Community Funding Initiative.
Carling, the UK’s number one lager, and Everards of Leicestershire have launched ‘We Got This’, a community fund designed to make a positive difference in communities across the region.
The fund forms part of Carling’s Made Local campaign, which sees the beer brand funding a range of local community projects across the UK. The initiative encourages people to get together and create stronger communities in their local area.
From renovating community centres and sorting out new kits for the village football team, to simply sprucing up communal green spaces, the initiative will be giving something back to local communities.
The ‘We Got This’ initiative will see a total pot of £20,000 made available to communities and community groups around Leicestershire to pitch for. Nominating a group, person or even yourself couldn’t be easier. Simply head into your local Everards pub that sells Carling, grab yourself a drink and ask one of the staff for a nomination form. Alternatively, you can submit a nomination online by visiting www.everards.co.uk/wegotthis/ – nominations are now open and are due to close Wednesday 23rd January 2019.
As well as the financial support, the successful nominees will also receive support from Semble (formerly Project Dirt), the UK’s most active platform for connecting and supporting community projects, who will help turn their ideas into reality.
Semble will also be working with volunteers from the local area, as well as those Everards pubs that helped generate the nominations, to maximise the community involvement in each project.
Miranda Osborne, Carling Brand Director said: “We are thrilled to be able to support communities across Leicestershire with this We Got This fund. Our Made Local campaign is all about helping people in communities realise ambitions, not just in Leicestershire but across the entire UK”.
So, if you know of a fantastic local community project or group that needs some extra funding for a great community cause then Carling and Everards ‘We Got This’ can help! You can follow all the latest We Got This news on #EverardsWeGotThis.
