Gigs In The Gardens: BBC Introducing… full line-up announced
The final acts have been announced for BBC Music Introducing East Midlands at De Montfort Hall.
Gazelle, Arcades and solo artist Michael Vickers will join the line-up at the BBC curated event in Leicester on the bank holiday weekend of Saturday 24 August.
Leicester indie rockers Gazelle describe themselves as four working class lads united by a mutual love of British subcultures. They were inspired to write music by what they see as a lack of inspiration in today’s music charts.
Arcades, meanwhile, are an emotional, high energy touring band with a headline show at 02 next month. They play “a confident strutting style straight from the golden era of rock n roll” and are currently midway through their European tour.
Leicester singer songwriter Michael Vickers performs at Gigs in the Gardens on the back of this April’s single release Please Don’t Tell Me. The pared-back musician, using just vocals and guitar, completes the BBC Introducing line-up.
The three new additions join Demons of Ruby Mae, Judith Ude, Mason Bailey, Oceans Apart, Ro Jordan and Harri Georgio.
BBC Introducing East Midlands is part of De Montfort Hall’s Gigs In The Gardens summer series.
