Christine Geissmar, PPL PRS Interim Managing Director said:
‘We believe that music can add value to any business and we were delighted with the quality of the entries we received, businesses took the time to tell us how important music is to their business, the passion felt for their businesses and how playing music is an important part of their customer offering. This has made the judging process a hard task; however we now have our five finalists and we wish them all the best of luck for the final judging.’
Steve Levine is on the panel of expert judges, who will assess all of the finalists in the Music Makeover competition, along with BBC Radio Leicester presenter Jimmy Carpenter and senior members of the team from PPL PRS, PRS for Music and PPL.
Speaking about his place on the judging panel, Steve Levine said: ‘It’s really encouraging to see both the quality, and the high number of the entries, in this phase of the Music Makeover competition.
This round was opened exclusively for Leicestershire based businesses who would like to improve and update their audio systems or acoustics. The finalists chosen are diverse and unique, and truly reflect what makes Leicestershire the region its residents love.
I look forward to an exciting judging panel and together selecting the lucky winner to help them get the very best for their workplace and create an improved sonic environment.’
