Wholey Moly vegan cookies arrive in Selfridges Birmingham
Want to satisfy your sweet tooth with a cookie that is good for you? Wholey Moly, the premium, naturally healthier vegan cookie, is now available exclusively in Selfridges Birmingham.
The treats, which contain no refined sugars or processed ingredients, were launched by Meenesh Mistry and Parul Vadher after they craved a cookie but did not want to eat biscuits, doughnuts and cakes that were full of empty calories.
“We wanted to satisfy our craving for something sweet when we had our afternoon cup of tea but still wanted it to be good for us,” said Meenesh.
“We spent two years trying out different recipes, baking thousands of cookies in our small London flat until we found the combinations that really hit the spot. They are all vegan, high in fibre, very low in salt and have as little as 5g of sugar, which is 50% less than your average healthy snack bar.”
Wholey Moly comes in three delicious flavours: Cacao & Orange, Cacao & Hazelnut, and Almond, hemp & chia, which packs an impressive eight grams of plant protein. They all contain naturally good-for-you ingredients such as cacao, coconut oil, seeds and nuts, helping to load the cookies with vitamins, minerals, healthy fats and antioxidants.
Sam Watts, general manager of Selfridges Birmingham, said: “Vegan food is enjoying a real surge in popularity, so we’re so pleased to welcome yet another innovative brand to our renowned food hall.”
