With the UK consuming around 3bn litres of bottled water a year, that’s about 35.8million bottles a day, the environmental impact of these single use bottles is devastating – 8 million tonnes of plastic ending up in the ocean each year. Millennials Josh, Ariel and Perry have responded with CanO Water; still or sparkling spring water sold in a resealable, recyclable aluminium can meaning no more harmful plastics. The idea was inspired after came back from travelling Asia and seeing for themselves the damaging effects plastic had on the ocean.

Determined to change that, they created a product that appeals to a younger audience and makes ‘recycling’ more trendy and attractive through a simplistic and stylish design of the can.

The aluminium cans have the highest recycling rate of any drink on the market; recycle your can and it could be back on the shelf in as little as 6 weeks and the smart resealable lid doesn’t affect the recyclability of the packaging. What’s more the aluminium can is effective at protecting the water from direct sun light, which can result in harmful toxins seeping into the water from the plastic lining. It will also ensure your water is chilled for longer than your typical plastic bottle.
