SIXTY9° magazine has been voted as the best Lifestyle Magazine in the Midlands – reaching 12th place in a nationwide poll, in which no other Midlands magazine featured.

The chart, created by UK Lifestyle Magazines, and taken from thousands of UK online Lifestyle Magazines, used search and social metrics and is considered the most comprehensive study in the industry.

SIXTY9° topped the Midlands poll because of the work undertaken by the title in “actively working to educate, inspire, and empower their readers with frequent updates and high-quality information”.

Other judging criteria included:

  • Google reputation and Google search ranking
  • Influence and popularity on Facebook, twitter and other social media sites
  • Quality and consistency of posts.
  • Feedspot’s editorial team and expert review

First published in 1999, SIXTY9° has been at the forefront of regional lifestyle publishing for nearly 20 years.  In recent years, it has created a stand-alone Digital Division that not only creates and executes its own digital and social content and strategy but offers this advice and expertise to many of its clients looking to create impact online.

Commenting, Founder, Kevin Urquhart says; “I’m absolutely thrilled to have SIXTY9° recognized as one of the best examples of lifestyle magazines in the entire country.  To poll 12 out of many thousands – and to be the only online title from the Midlands in the chart – is a testament to the incredible team that compile and create our online content”.

Group Editor in Chief, Jonathan Fraser, continues; “Our team work tirelessly to update the site every single day to bring the best fashion, arts, culture, travel and entertainment stories.  What makes us extra special is that all our content is written from a Midlands perspective.  We want to tell our 500k+ readers about all the amazing things to do, see and experience in the Midlands.  It’s this recipe that, we believe, keeps us current and the voice of a generation”.
