EGX – the UK’s Biggest Interactive Entertainment Consumer Show – Kicks Off Today at the Birmingham NEC.
This weekend sees the global games industry gather in Birmingham for EGX, the UK’s biggest interactive entertainment consumer show – more than 200 video games titles will be on show, and 75,000 visitors are expected during show, which kicked off this morning. Highlights include Blockbuster video games from the industry’s biggest publishers before release, live esports, cosplay competitions, table top gaming, careers bar, meet and greats and The world’s largest collection of Indie games and the chance to meet creators and developers.

HNDRX BIRMINGHAM VIP LAUNCH SATURDAY 23 SEPTEMBER 2017
One of Birmingham’s most exclusive Saturday nights, HNDRX Saturdays launches on Saturday 23 September, with new resident DJ Kyle Sheriff and a host of celebrity DJ’s lined up for future events which include Radio One’s Charlie Sloth, Sammy Porter and Colin Francis.
HNDRX Birmingham has already welcomed celebrity guests and is set to become Birmingham’s new ‘go to’ luxury club. The club is located in the heart of central Birmingham and offers a chic and stylish a1mosphere. There are private booths, a roped off VIP area, lots of glamorous lighting and an outside seated terrace area.

On Sunday September 24th 2017, tens of thousands of distinguished gentlefolk in hundreds of cities worldwide will don their cravats, tweak their moustaches, press their tweed and sit astride their classic and vintage styled motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and men’s mental health
This year P&Co are getting involved and will be popping up at Mutt Motorcycles, Digbeth uk, at their DGR after party following the Birmingham ride- and they’ll be bringing with them a load of current and sample tees, jackets and accessories for you to get your hands on! all proceeds (that’s every single penny) that they take from the sale of their products will go to the distinguished gentleman’s ride- so bring cash, it’s all for a good cause!!!

Derby QUAD – Hetain Patel 29 September – 19 November 2017
This new exhibition by artist Hetain Patel consists of two film works: a major new commission, Don’t Look at the Finger (2017), commissioned by Film and Video Umbrella with Manchester Art Gallery and QUAD, and The Jump (2015).
Septmeberfest – Donnington Park
A major new music festival, titled Septemberfest, is to be held at Donington Park on 22-24 September, with headline act Razorlight and a support line-up of 90s and 2000s throwbacks.
The three day festival will feature over 150 acts across five stages, with Saturday headliners Razorlight, supported by Reef. A full 90s line-up to include S Club, East 17, Atomic Kitten, A1, Liberty X, 911, The Cheeky Girls, Whigfield, Dario G and Urban Cookie Collective.
The Sunday Headliners are 90s legends 5ive, who will be performing a full 1 hour set on the main stage.
Meanwhile, local boy Nathan Dawe will return from his sell-out summer in Europe to close the show on Friday.In addition, a major dance arena will feature a number of top artists including Leftwing & Kody, Latmun, Skapes, Hott like Detroit and Tommy Vercetti.

Short Stack is proud to present Annie the Movie followed by a Q&A with Annie herself and director Matt Daunt.
Annie is the legendary owner/operator of Annie’s Burger Shack in the Lace Market. Annies Burger Shack is the home of the finest burgers in Nottingham. The film follows Annie and gives us an exclusive insight into Annie’s world and a peek at what goes on behind the scenes at her legendary burger joint.
We will also be showing a wonderful selection of shorts and music videos from the East Midlands area and beyond.
