Doc Brown Live in Leicester this November

Doc Brown goes back to his roots with a new album – ‘Stemma’ – and live music show, using his trademark high energy rap. Hosted by 2Funky Music Café, the event will take place on Thursday
30 November, 7pm.

Over the last decade, Doc Brown has taken some time out from music to pursue a successful comedy and acting career. Brown began making music in 2000, first as a battle rapper who performed in venues such as Dingwalls in Camden and the Swiss Centre in Leicester Square. He was a winner of the high profile ‘Jump Off’ competition several times over. In 2004, Brown began hosting a live music night at Deal Real Records in London, which attracted artists such as Pete Rock, Black Eyed Peas and Lowkey in the years that followed. One of his sets caught the attention of Mark Ronson, and Brown went on to perform as part of his band alongside Amy Winehouse from 2005-7.

Brown’s breakthrough track ‘Donnie’s Lament,’ featuring Lowkey, attracted mainstream acclaim. Doc has also toured with the likes of De La Soul and Busta Rhymes, among others.
The multi-talented performer is now is back in full force for his new musical venture. Don’t miss his performance of powerful new tracks from his latest album ‘Stemma’.
