Soul Sister Joyce Sims Live In Leicester
All the way from New York City, songstress Joyce Sims is set to wow soul and R&B fans in a rare Leicester appearance. The singer will perform at 2Funky Music Café on Sunday 2 July 2017. Joyce’s songs have been covered or sampled by the likes of Randy Crawford, Angie Stone and Snoop Dogg, to name a few.
The singer is best known for the emotive and unmistakable track “Come Into My Life,”which hit the top ten in the UK Singles Chart andUS Billboard R&B Chartsin 1987. Her début album, of the same name, achieved success in the US R&Balbum chart. Other hits of the same eraincluded “All and All”and her remake of “Love Makes a Woman” followed later by “Who’s Crying Now”in 1994. The singer returned to the mainstream in 2006 with her rendition of “What the World Needs Now is Love”. She remainsa favourite on the international club scene.
