The Pride House venue will welcome all members of the LGBTIQ+ community as well as allies during the games, including a wide and diverse range of activities, exhibitions and entertainment throughout the day and night. The venue will have multiple spaces providing a bar, dry space, exhibition space and chill out zones – something for everyone!

Piero Zizzi, Pride House Birmingham Co-Founder: “We’re delighted to be situated in the heart of Birmingham’s LGBTIQ+ community and next to the Smithfield site which will be at the centre of the action during the games. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Pride House Birmingham from July 22nd 2022.”

Birmingham Pride Director, Lawrence Barton commented “Birmingham Pride 2021 will be our first Pride event to take place since 2019. Our theme is poignant in more ways than one as we celebrate together as a whole community, Stronger Together. We are really excited to use the Smithfield Live site for the very first time, which will become the home of the Commonwealth games in 2022, in addition to a more accessible street party event. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Pride House Birmingham who will be doing some great work, in a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. I hope everyone that attends has a safe and memorable time.”
