Disko Haus Returns For 1st Birthday At Amusement13 Birmingham.

2018 has been an amazing year so far for Disko Haus, a student run Birmingham club night and they thought it’d be rude not to celebrate their first birthday.

After hosting the likes of Big Miz, Tommy Vercetti and Ron Basejam we are bringing Belfast kingpin Ejeca to Amusement 13, for his first Birmingham show in 3 years. Specialising in techno, house and disco, blending the old and the new, Disko Haus has brought the party to the streets of Birmingham and we’re very excited to present Ejeca to the crowds of the midlands.

Since the Opening Party in December 2017, Disko Haus have hosted further sell out events at Amusement 13. Our events have attracted upwards . We pride ourselves on curating line ups in line with the brilliant house music scene in the UK, whilst encouraging, inviting and involving upcoming student DJs in the process.

Our headliner Ejeca is one of Belfast’s best musical exports in recent years from the growing scene in Northern Ireland. His down to earth attitude has allowed him to gain recognition from his musical peers and with constant solid releases it’s always been music first, hype later. From a young age his fascination with production culminated in early releases such as the limited edition, vinyl-only Tusk Wax Five EP, and his work with fellow Northern Irish, Bicep on AUS. After 12 long years of hard work, his big break finally came when two of his tracks were named ‘Essential Tune of the Week’ on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Ejeca is now a firmly established name as a reputable purveyor of high quality house and techno, and with his label Exploris now on their twelfth release it’s safe to say his selection of tracks is always on the pulse.

His recent releases on DJ Haus’s Unknown To The Unknown, Remix for Addison Groove & Jeremy Olander, Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, BPitch! Control, Poker Flat and official remix for Inner City’s ‘Good Life’ hasshown his varying side from from the melodic to driving sides of techno. It’s safe to say Ejeca has got his hands full as he maintains a worldwide DJ tour schedule, full of releases and his Trance Wax alias kicking up a storm throughout key tastemaker and music purveyors.

Amongst our resident DJs, Neel D and DKP have combined forces to form Bread on Toast appearing at Carnival Magnifico, Tektu, Triple Cooked, VOID, Crib, Portal and more, where they have played alongside heavyweight DJs including Claude Vonstroke and De La Swing. With upcoming releases on Datagroove Records, Spira Music and East Project, Bread On Toast are a serious new talent to the Midlands and have been conjuring a storm over the past 12 months.

Bringing his Spanish roots, Henry Bonsor delivers a genre blending experience by exploring a broad range of styles and beats. Recently moving to Brighton, he hosts a weekly radio show and is a member of the DJ collective De La Disque. Joining Henry as a special guest will be formerschool mate, Seb Cole who will bring some Scandinavian flavours to the night. Seb is a DJ/Producer and also a member of De La Disque. He’s studying music production in Brighton and a current intern at Dream Diary Records in Brixton. The fusion of intricate techno beats and electroinfused soundscapes found in his own tracks demonstrate his mature ability as a musician.

Appearing back to back with Henry Bonsor at Seedy Sonics: Carnival Magnifico, Nottingham’s G Whiz, carries on the old school theme focusing on the disco sounds of the 70s and 80s to the students of today.

Get down to Amusement 13 on the 8th December for an incredible of the most pioneering dance music in the UK right now along with colourful decorations, an incredible VOID sound-system and the greatest Disko Haus party yet.
