Now in its 4th year, Festival2Funky will be a fantastic celebration of Black music and arts, running from 22-28May 2017 at 2Funky Music Café. Seven days of unmissable bands, artists, DJ’s, comedians, masterclasses, workshops and dancers will include a range of high profile artists.
• With classic boom bap hip hop sounds, socially conscious rhymes and jazz-soul elements, Germany
based Akua Naru has garnered attention and accumulated rave reviews
Lotto Boyz are a talented duo from Birmingham; pushing their way through the ranks in the new subgenre Afro Bashment, and planning to take the unique style of music global.
Kofi first found success as a member of the Lovers Rock trio Brown Sugar (with Soul II Soul’s Caron
Wheeler). She then continued her career as a solo artist, achieving 5 No 1’s in the UK Reggae Charts.

• With releases on many labels, Sukh Knight has been producing Grime, and deep dark rolling dubstep
since the early days of the genre.
• One liner extraordinaire MC Bassman is a one-off ‘drum & bass heavyweight.’
• Having written and starred in his own sitcom for the BBC (Sunny D) and performed a triumphant run atthe Edinburgh Festival, Dane Baptiste is fast becoming one to watch.

Judi Love is hot on the comedy scene right now, and has struck a chord with ladies up and down the UK, with her comedy style based on everyday observations
