CRITICAL LIST: Unmissable Events in the Midlands this November

The clocks have gone back, the days are getting shorter and darker but fear not the fun doesn’t have to go into hibernation.

There are plenty of events to brighten up your November, happening across the Midlands this month.

Friendly Fires
1st November @ O2 Institute Birmingham

Their first album in eight years, it’s the sound of a band rejuvenated and reborn, and they’ll be taking it’s disco-infused anthems on the road for you all to enjoy this autumn.

Chapter XV Festival
3rd November @ The Mill Digbeth

CHAPTER FESTIVAL is coming back to Digbeth, Birmingham with some of the worlds most prolific house and techno artists

Catfish and The Bottlemen
4th November @ Arena Birmingham

The energetic, arena-filling alternative rock band, Catfish and the Bottlemen, will be arriving in Brum this November, following the release of their third album, The Balance.

5th November @ O2 Institute Birmingham

Alternative R&B singer, BANKS, is back with her explorative, empowering and emotional third record, III and with it she makes her return to the UK for a clutch of headline shows.


SHOUT Festival of Queer Arts and Culture is Birmingham’s annual celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) performance, film, and visual arts.


My Beautiful Laundrette
5th November – 9th November @ Birmingham Repertory Theatre

This bold new production of Kureshi’s ground-breaking film explores cultural conflict, gender equality, class and generational strife, all presented against a funky backdrop of 80s music and culture.
